Congratulations!

Until now I have never been fond of bus travel, finding it a very cold experience in every way. The air-conditioning has been more like a refridgeration and very little communication or interaction between anyone on board.

But, on Thursday 23rd April, I caught a Scenic Hinterland Day Tours bus from Helensvale (I think) to the Australia Zoo and had an entirley different experience!

The bus was clean and comfortable, and not cold. The driver was pleasant, informative, witty and quite entertaining! At one break in his commentary a young girl went up and asked him to tell us some more!

It was a most enjoyable day and I thank your company for being part of it.

And I particularly commend your driver of the day who was a big part of the whole experience and one you should be proud to have in your employ.

We recently took three of your trips Tour 3 on 19th March, Tour 1 on 20th March  and Tour 2 on 22nd March.

Thank you for three lovely days! We thoroughly enjoyed all the tours and had a great time. I did not get the chance to thank John - our driver on the O'Reilly's tour - for playing the CD about the Stinson crash. I had heard much of the story before, but hearing the voices of Bernard O'Reilly and John Proud was very moving. I wanted to applaud at the end, but was a bit embarrassed in case no-one joined in!

And I have fallen in love with Roy the Alpaca!

I recently spent a holiday with friends in Nerang on the Gold Coast and did five of your tours. I am writing in praise of your drivers/tour guides, all of who I found to be excellent. I must though mention one in particular, Gary, (grey haired gentleman with the beard), who was a little bit special in the way he conducted his tours.

His knowledge of the areas we visited was obviously extensive and this showed in the way he delivered his commentary not just as a series of facts, but quite naturally and with an engaging humour.

It was a real pleasure having him as a guide, as it was with all your drivers/tour guides.

Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday my partner and I took tours with your company. We did the Byron Bay, the Brisbane and also the Lamington National Park.

Our tour drivers were Garry, Barry, and John. I have to tell you all 3 tours were fabulous, all 3 drivers were not only excellent competent drivers that we felt safe with but all were delightful, informative tour guides as well.

It was a well needed holiday for us, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our time spent learning about and seeing the area.

We booked two tours and got the third one free. We were picked up and dropped off at our accommodation. First we went to Byron Bay with Barry who was so knowledgeable, he could tell you about anything. A fantastic trip stopping at the Crystal Castle and the Byron lighthouse before going to Byron Bay itself.

Our second trip was to Australia Zoo, we had just over 5 hours at the zoo, plenty of time to see just about everything.

The free trip we took was to Noosa. We stopped at the Ettamogah Pub and Aussie World where we had a free pass into the theme park for the cafe and souvenir shop. Then it was up to Noosa for a few hours to do our own thing and on the way home we stopped at the ginger factory at Yandina and the nut factory across the road.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the trips and are looking at doing others on our next trip to Surfers Paradise.

Staying in Surfers Paradise we decided to do two tours with Hinterland Tours.

The first tour was Springbrook, natural arch & tropical fruit world. We were picked up from our accommodation by bus-driver Barry at 7.45 am. Other travelers were picked up and the tour went down to Tropical Fruit World for exotic fruit tasting and an interesting talk. From there the tour headed up the Springbrook mountain to view 5 waterfalls, ancient forests, and several nature walks. The tour was well organized, interesting and was a comfortable pace for 10 year old to people in their 60’s with medium level of fitness.

Driver Barry was a gem and a wealth of information. I would highly recommend this tour, as covering this area by car could be tricky for those unfamiliar with the area.

These tours are great if you want a quick getaway from the Gold Coast. It's surprising how much there is within a short drive. We did the O'Reillys and Tamborine Mountain Rainforest tour which has won Eco awards - always good for the soul. It was fantastic seeing the waterfalls and you had time to explore the township of Mount Tamborine including all the art galleries and craft stores. Next we did the Croc Experience tour to check out Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo and had heaps of time there to look at everything. Such a massive zoo!

We also did the Byron Bay trip and got to see the light house and went to Crystal Castle (amazing gardens). They also do tours to Brisbane but we ran out of time.

We ended up getting the O'Reilly's tour free through Experience Oz as we booked it online to make sure we got seats. If you book 2 tours then you get the O'Reilly trip free which save you about $85. They are small buses too so you don't feel like a tourist turning up on a massive tour bus. Highly recommend.

My husband and I recently visited Queensland and stayed at Broadbeach at the Meriton Appartments.

We decided to do something different this trip and booked tours with you and we just want to thank you.

The first tour we did was last Tuesday 7 June up to Noosa with John, the second trip was on Thursday 9 June to Springbrook with Barry, and then another tour on Friday 10 June to Byron Bay with John. On all three tours we had a wonderful time.

Your drivers were nothing but courteous, informative and just really friendly down to earth men.

We had a great time and even though on the Thursday trip we had a flat tyre, (which by the way, made the day a little more exciting), it was worth every cent.

I am writing to you to thank you for a wonderful time we had on your tours on Wed 12/10/11, Thur and Thur evening 13/10/11.

I had my young cousin here from Italy and we booked 3 tours and received the 3rd tour of a lesser value absolutely free! It was such a pleasure to be driven around, relaxing and taking in the beautiful scenery of the QLD and NSW hinterland.

I'd like to thank the entertaining and knowledgable bus drivers, Barry, Dave and the lovely, funny and charming aussie/japanese driver (apologies I've forgotten the man's name) that drove us on the night tour to see the glow worms, meet the humble owner/artist and then onto to meet the clever and informative astronomer Andre.
